Client: Major Financial Institution

Location: Toronto 

Length: 6 Month Contract

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be working on multiple projects within the team. The managers team supports 2 hub domains, a digital domain and a credit card domain. The project examples are branch scanning, e signature forms, home finance, debit master card. They could be on any of the projects. They will be testing BW services to integrate front end channels, EG: (online banking, costumer connect, mobile) with Host systems, external vendors and BMP, FileNet. They will be working on all projects in their team for specific releases. They are delivering projects by quarterly releases. The number of projects ready for release could rise, anywhere from 3-6 at a time. It is important they are capable to work on multiple assignments and projects at a time. 

They will be managing an off shore QA team. They must have the ability to manage a team. They will need to split the tasks and be able to identify the issues. They will be managing 2 off shore people.

This will be manual and automated testing. They are currently using green head as a testing tool. If they do not have experience in green head they will train them.They need to know how to review the requirements, do test plans, cases, and have a strong technical background. If there is a problem they need to be able to understand, and to read the logs, know where the location of the logs is, and understand XML - be able to point to the area which has the problem. Show the developer where the problem is. 

 

Top Skills:
1.) QA Experience - at least 3 years of experience. There is also another path which would be a more ideal candidate. 

Development and integration is more preferred then straight QA experience. Someone who used to be a developer but now they want to get into testing is ideal. If they had a path as a developer and understand a little but about QA and testing, the manager would prefer this. It would be a background in Tibco development. 

2.) Lead experience - at least 1+ years of experience managing a team as a developer or a QA - they will be leading a team and managing the work load 
3.) Tibco Knowledge - 3 years of experience. If they have Tibco development this is an asset. They need to understand the Tibco environment infrastructure and understand various Tibco components, including deployment process.
4.) Experience with web services testing
5.) XML Knowledge
6.) SOAP UI Knowledge
7.) Knowledge of the mainframe system MQ - 1 year of experience
4.) Greenhead - This is the tool they are using for testing. It is now mandatory to have Greenhead. 
5.) FI Experience - It is now mandatory for the candidates to have experience working in the financial industry.
